Simply Amish Quality Features
Like a work of art, each piece of Simply Amish furniture is hand signed by the craftsman who built it and affixed with the Simply Amish medallion. Your name is also inscribed on the label letting you know it was handcrafted especially for you.
All dining room buffets and servers, bedroom dressers and chests, as well as living room cabinets feature a flush, fitted back constructed of hardwood plywood, stained the color of the cabinet and fastened with screws, not staples or nails.
A special sealant is used to seal the end grain to minimize moisture transfer and help prevent warping. Each piece is sanded silky smooth and finished with a post-catalyzed varnish that protects it against spills.
Traditional joinery methods
To ensure structural integrity for the life of your furniture, case good frames are joined using engineered dowels. Mortise & tenon and dado joinery are also featured for a stronger, long-lasting structure. Screws are used only as secondary support.

Exceptional Detail
Dovetailed Drawer Boxes
Cherry, Maple or Walnut cabinets and dressers feature a solid Maple drawer box, while Oak is used on all Quarter Sawn Oak, Hickory and Oak pieces. All drawer boxes are 5/8″ solid hardwood and dovetailed in the front and back; the drawer bottom is inserted into a groove to form a captive base then all five pieces are glued and compressed together. Each drawer is then sanded and finished smooth with a protective varnish to preserve it’s natural beauty and ensure a lifetime of worry-free operation.
One-piece Drawer Fronts
Drawer fronts are one solid piece of wood up to 8 1/2″ high. The continuous grain of a one-piece drawer front is unmarred by glue lines, accepts stain more evenly and allows full appreciation of your investment in solid hardwood furniture.
Self, Soft-closing Slides
Drawers feature premium Blum SmartSlides which are manufactured in North Carolina. These slides are fully enclosed and mounted below the drawer creating an unobstructed view of the solid dovetail construction. They are heavy-duty and fully extend providing complete access to the back of the drawer. SmartSlides also feature an advanced mechanism that prevents slamming by soft-closing each drawer.
Self, Soft-Closing Hinges
All buffet, hutch and cabinet doors feature a heavy-duty concealed hinge. Like the SmartSlides, these titanium finish, soft-close hinges provide a smooth silent close…no matter how hard the door is shut.
Dining table tops get 3 coats of post-catalyzed varnish, making them resistant to water, alcohol, and nail polish. The undersides of the dining table are finished to prevent snags on clothing and to seal the wood to prevent warping and cracking.
Ball-Bearing Slides
Extension dining tables feature sturdy, easy-to-open, ball-bearing slides that provide years of smooth, reliable operation. (Standard on all tables unless otherwise noted). These top of the line slides have a lifetime warranty against defects in workmanship or materials.
Leg Levelers
Whether you choose a leg table, trestle or pedestal table, levelers are provided to ensure stability even if your floor is uneven.
Bed Details
Sturdy Bed Assemby
Wood bed frames connect with non-glued dowels plus a heavy-duty steel bolt anchored by an engineered nut. A wrench is supplied for disassembly or tightening should they loosen.
Standard Slats
All beds come with 5 wooden slats to support a mattress plus the box spring or foundation. Queen size beds feature 3 center support feet, King and California King beds have 5 center supports. Slats rest on heavy angle iron that reinforce and strengthen side rails.
Platform Slat Option
Every bed has a platform slats option which can support a mattress alone, eliminating the need for a box spring or foundation. Platform slats run the entire length of the bed in about 2″ increments. The center is supported with an additional lengthwise slat and features center supports at each intersection with the slats that run width-wise. Beds with platform slats will usually sit about 5″ lower than beds with traditional slats.
